Description

Liquitex Acrylic Pouring Mediums are made from 100% acrylic polymer emulsion and form durable films when dry. They alter the handling characteristics, appearance, or volume to produce an infinite variety of effects, a type of effect medium with a beautiful glossy and transparent sheen. This is a thick medium that improves the depth of color and increases transparency, body and flow. The medium is a permanent, non-yellowing, flexible and water resistant gel when drying and self-levelling.

Formulated to create a smooth, seamless body of paint, this medium creates even puddles, poured sheets and flowing applications of color without crazing, cracking or holding bubbles. With this fluid medium, you can paint wet-in-wet and create colorful marbled surfaces that retain a high gloss and wet appearance when dry.
Normally you would use water to thin your acrylic paintings. This works very well, doesn’t cost that much, and is very easy. But water dilutes your colors, so it looks washed out. Too much water will also dilute the binding in your acrylic paints, so it doesn’t stick that well on your painting ground / your canvas.
